I have been to Mission Taqueria several times but my recent visit was the most pleasant. My husband and I grabbed dinner with our friend Connor. We all shared the chips and guac and a pitcher of the classic margarita to start. I ordered the Nuevo Chicken tacos, my husband had the carnitas, and our friend had the beef barbacoa. For dessert we shared the churros. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Our server Sean was so friendly and attentive the whole evening, making sure we didn't need anything and that our water was constantly refilled! The only issue we had was that the restaurant was super loud which I know is hard to control, so we will probably just plan to go later or earlier than right around happy hour next time.

Stopped by Mission Taqueria for happy hour (4-6pm). I arrived at 4:15pm and it was not busy but by 5:30pm it was packed. I ordered from the happy hour menu ( nothing I ordered was over $7)- the strawberry sangria, 2 chicken tacos, ESQUITES, rice& beans, and QUESO GRINGO. Everything was delicious! It was a mixed crowd from business men in suits to college students.

Their happy hour is truly such a great deal. They portions are a good size and the drinks are so yummy. It can get filled up quick, so I'd recommend to get there right as it starts to make sure you get a seat! My go to order is a spicy marg (the sangria is also so so so good) and the cauliflower tacos. My partner and I will also share the esquites, which is some of the best we've found in the city. The restaurant has a ton of natural light that shines in from the windows and skylight. They have live plants all around the restaurant which really adds to the bright and airy atmosphere. It's a great place to bring someone that isn't from the city. And bonus, they have gender neutral restrooms!

A fun spot to eat in Center City! The restaurant is well decorated with cute wood and plant decor and has fun vibes with good music and an open atmosphere. We didn't have reservations and we didn't have to wait long for a table of 2 on a Saturday night around 7pm. The food isn't necessarily the best Mexican food I've had but it's very good. We had their salad that came with a sweet, but not too sweet vinaigrette. I wasn't a big fan of the smoked grapes as a salad topping because the smoky flavor had more of a rotten grape taste to me. The fried mahi mahi taco was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly and very flaky with a crisp breading. The pricing on the tacos are a little on the higher end (~$8/taco) that I don't think is justified. The rice and beans side wasn't anything special but the side of fried plantains were great! Service was okay. Our waiter never came to check-in on us after we got our food and we had to flag down another waitstaff to ask for condiments. Our waiter did seem overwhelmed with the number of large tables he had so it's possible the restaurant was understaffed that night. All in all, would recommend checking out this spot with a group of friends!

Sean and the entire staff are phenomenal. The vibe in the restaurant and bar is fun and exciting. Everyone seemed to be having the best time. Being from LA, we were extremely impressed by how fresh and thoughtful every dish was here. You must try the chips and guacamole, as well as the Beef Barbacoa Tacos. Also highly recommend the margaritas made frozen and the Tres Leches cake. We didn't realize the restaurant was gluten free until after our meal. Everything was absolutely amazing, will be thinking about coming back for a while.

My go-to happy hour spot in Philly! I love their happy hour menu -- it's simple, delicious, straightforward, and keeps me full with just a few dishes. Notable ones include the chicken tacos, guacamole and chips, and the corn! This place does get packed during happy hour (can't blame them because this is truly a place for the girlies) so I'd suggest making a reservation ahead of time. The vibes are immaculate and workers are kind.

Me and my friends enjoyed Mission Taqueria! We went during happy hour, which has good deals on tacos (1 taco was $3) and had some chips with it! I will say the menu was a bit confusing. I wanted chips and salsa, and my waiter was having a hard time helping me get it as a side. I didnt want 3 dips, with that its $13 which is crazy. We just wanted a small order and eventually she was able to help us. Our food was yummy but drinks were small and pricey. But, I'd come back again for happy hour because of the food.

Super fun spot for tacos, happy hour. Located upstairs with a super fun interior. Day drinkable for sure. I only came for happy hour so I can only speak to the drinks but might I recommend the spicy marg. Jalapeño infused with high drinkability. Great HH deals

I went on a double date night with my bf and our two friends. Great atmosphere for a night out with friends, especially with the lighting and decorations. I got the cochinita pibil tacos (braised pork), which I don't usually see at taco places. My bf got barbacoa. Note that they only have two tacos per serving instead of three. I was at awe at the mahi mahi and shrimp tacos our friends got. I'd been afraid that they would skimp on the seafood but they did not!! Out of my bf and I's food, I found the cochinita pibil tacos the most flavorful, perhaps because of the pickled veggies and cheese on top. We also got churros for dessert. These came with bittersweet chocolate and dulce de leche sauces. I don't think I'd get them again because they were too doughy for my liking without a strong enough flavor. Only bad thing about the place was the price. I'd say go if you want to impress the people you're with or want to hang out somewhere that looks cool. If you just want good tacos, there are plenty of other places that fit the bill.
